Ampton

'Ampton' visually maps the current industrial landscape alongside the canal system in Horseley fields in Wolverhampton. It highlights the canal's historical significance in connection to the factories in the area, whether they are still being utilised or have been abandoned and forgotten over time, dating back to the height of the Industrial Revolution. Throughout this project, it uses a combination of site-specific photography and archival material sourced from the companies and the city's archives allowing for a visual understanding of the transformation that has occurred over time in the canal system.
